- Highlight the latest and most innovative best practice in the youth justice system, from prevention to resettlement
- Hear how local areas are moving from strategy to effective implementation, and building a record of solid achievement on a local basis
- Explore the implications and opportunities of greater collaboration with local authorities and the judiciary to increase public confidence
- Examine and understand how the impact of the £100 million in upstream interventions in the Youth Crime Action Plan will filter into local practice
- Examine the move towards earlier prevention strategies and targeted youth support for at-risk young people, including up-to-date approaches to tackling violent crime
- Discuss how the secure estate is developing tailored services for young people to help reduce re-offending
- Provide the annual opportunity for networking and sharing good practice with all those working to prevent and reduce youth offending
- Assess the effectiveness of alternatives to custody including community sentencing and restorative justice
