What is Women in Public Policy?
Even in 2008 women are underrepresented at the highest levels of public life. We hope that this network will act as an informal way for women working in public policy to meet, encourage one another and exchange ideas.
We hope that senior women from across the public sector will take part in the network, including those in local, regional or national government, in the civil service, in the voluntary sector, in quangos or in bodies that seek to comment on and influence government.
With a female Chancellor in Germany and likely female contenders for the leadership of both France and the United States it seems a timely opportunity to begin to bring together women from the UK.
