6th Annual
Offender Learning, Skills
and Employability Conference
High standards for adult
and youth offenders
Tuesday 30th March 2010
Grand Connaught Rooms, London WC2
Over the coming year, prison
governors and education providers will be forced to make critical decisions
about spending. Fostering meaningful environments for offender rehabilitation,
learning and enhancing employability will become increasingly difficult
in the midst of public spending cuts in prisons. Changes to OLASS 3
and the re-channelling of funding streams will mean that education providers
are tasked with achieving more with less.
The 6th annual Offender Learning, Skills and Employability
national conference will address these challenges, whilst also providing
requisite advice on keeping staff motivated during times of great uncertainty,
and bringing to light changes in curricula.
A must attend for prison governors and officers, probation officers,
heads of OLASS, education managers, representatives of LEAs and FE colleges
and anybody else tasked with enhancing education and skills for offenders.
