
The new Strategic Centre for Organised
Crime is leading and coordinating the Government's response to organised
crime - overseeing the delivery of Extending Our Reach and tackling organised
crime based on four pillars:
All organised criminals within reach
All approaches considered
All of Government playing its part
All partners engaged, at home and abroad
This one day conference will:
- Hear the latest Government policy on tackling serious organised crime
in the UK
and throughout Europe - Examine the likely trends in criminal activity and how police and law enforcement partners are responding
- Updates delegates on the strategies of the major organisations involved in the fight against serious and organised crime in Europe
- Showcase major successes in the fight against organised crime and learn from them
- Encourage and facilitate partnership working between police forces, border control services, immigration and other key stakeholders
- Examine the threat to neighbourhoods and communities and its flow to impact to other services such as health, education and welfare
- Look at crime-specific methods and partnership working through a series of specialist workshops including gun crime, lifetime management, active enhancement
- Set out ways to smooth the legislative challenge for successful prosecutions
- Offer an unrivalled opportunity to network with European colleagues
