20% of students fail to complete their higher education courses. This is bringing increasing criticism on institutions. Plus losing any student will have a serious impact on the bottom line of any higher education provider. Recent events have indicated HEFCE are taking a much tougher approach on this whole funding area.
Retaining students while widening participation and increasing diversity presents serious challenges. If funding cuts in higher education were to fall heavily on student support services this would increase problems. This conference will explore the strategies of leading higher education providers to improve retention, progression and completion rates.
This conference will bring together senior managers and policy makers from across the higher education sector and set out how to meet the challenge of achieving high levels of student retention, providing equal opportunities and access the support that students need to succee
