Improving primary care services:
Innovation and patient access
Thursday 3 April 2008
Innovation and personalisation are driving the policy debate on primary care services. Realising patient choice, out-of-hours access, new delivery models such as walk-in centres and successfully implementing practice-based commissioning are the new challenges facing clinicians and managers in the NHS.
This forum will discuss how to make the new commissioning environment work effectively in the interests of equitable access, patient outcomes and value for money for the taxpayer.

Thursday 10 July 2008
This forum will consider the implications of Lord Darzi’s ‘Our NHS, Our Future’ review and ask how the systems underpinning NHS delivery can change in order to radically transform performance without undermining the established NHS goals of equitable access and treatment free at the point of delivery.
