Research and Development Officer
Neil Stewart Associates are a leading producer of public policy conferences and events. Two positions are currently available within the research and development team that will give the right candidates an opportunity to develop their research and development skills in an exciting and dynamic public policy environment. The role includes:
- Researching and developing conferences within a specific area of public policy.
- We are ideally looking for candidates who have experience in either education or local government.
- Creating relevant and balanced conference agendas which engage the potential audience.
- Negotiating with high-profile speakers across the public, private and voluntary sectors.
- Managing client and partner relationships effectively.
Working in a fast-moving, constantly changing policy environment, candidates will need to be self starters able to demonstrate an ability to work in a supported but un-supervised role. As such we are looking for at least two years experience in a policy or communications environment.
You will need excellent time-management skills, an ability to juggle multiple projects, strong people and communications skills as well as possessing an eye for detail.
Experience of budgeting and project management would be a distinct advantage. An interest in politics and public policy issues is essential.
